Nauteka and Cisne Branco
Last November Nauteka was elected finalist of the international competition promoted by the Brazilian Navy, carried out with the aim of the renovation of the remaining teak decks on the vessel, as well as for the replacement of the outer lining of the deckhouses, skylights and other carpentry of the floating embassy of that South American country. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nauteka had already done the first phase of these renovations last 2019 and by this end 2020 it was again selected. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The decks of the bow and stern castles, as well as the deckhouses and their roofs had to be completely changed after the thousands of visitors they receive each time they arrive at port. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The new decoration configuration will seek to give a focus according to the type of vessel. Lining will be fully carried out in teakwood, one of the main activities of our company, with great experience in exterior carpentry in TALL SHIPS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last years we have made several such vessels:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- BAP UNION of Peru
- Indonesian BIMA SUCI built at FREIRE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- TS ROYALIST, made at GONDAN⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- SEA CLUD SPIRIT from METALSHIPS that is currently running out in Vigo and where Nauteka is already at 99% of its execution. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nauteka's technical office team is already working on designs and development of Cisne Branco's drawings. Its manufacture will begin soon, with the intention of shipping the materials towards Rio de Janeiro next March. On-board installation work will begin in April and must be completed by the end of June. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brazil will host the VELAS LATINOAMERICA 2022 regatta in 2022, an event where CISNE BRANCO should show off its new image.
